EMBROIDERY
What type of art work is required?
For most logos we need camera ready art. We charge $60 an hour to produce camera ready art [with a ½ hour, $30 minimum].

Can you work from an embroidery file that is emailed to you?
Yes, we will review it to see if it is adequate for the job you are requesting us to do.

Is there an additional formatting cost for re-orders?
No, not if the re-order is exactly the same as the original order.

Once a logo is formatted for embroidery on hats can the embroidery file be used on shirts?
Yes, usually a file that has been generated for hats can be used on other products, like shirts. We can usually enlarge or reduce a file by 10% without loss of clarity.

Can a small hat or shirt front embroidery file be reformatted for use on a full sized jacket back?
No, we would need to create a new file for a jacket back.

Do you make patches?
Yes, contact us for details.

Will the embroidery colors match the logo art?
We do our best to match PMS shades in art provided to us. Due to variations in thread colors we cannot guarantee an exact match.

SILK SCREEN
What type of art work is required?
For most logos we need camera ready art. We charge $60 an hour to produce camera ready art [with a ½ hour, $30 minimum].

QUOTES/ORDERING/BILLING
How long is a quoted price valid for?
Once we quote a price for embroidery or silk screening, that price is valid for 90 days. After that it is subject to a re-quoting evaluation.

What are your minimums?
For embroidery on most items, our minimum is one (1) unit.
For silk screening, our minimum is seventy-two (72) units.

Do you charge sales tax?
We are required to charge sales tax for orders delivered in California. We do not charge sales tax on orders delivered out of state.

PRIVACY & COPYRIGHT POLICIES
What is your Privacy Policy? Can trademarked or copyrighted logos be produced for sale?
DETAILS CALIFORNIA CUSTOMWEAR assumes that by placing an order with us for use of a company logo, business logo, school logo, etc., that you, as our customer, have the rights to the logo, and can provide us with written proof of those rights.
The person placing the order must be authorized to represent the company they are placing the order for. The customer guarantees that the use of said logo is lawful, that there is no infringement on any rights intellectual or otherwise, and that they [the customer] assumes responsibility for said use.

SAMPLES
Can you provide blank samples?
Yes. We bill samples at full cost plus shipping costs.
If the blank samples are returned, we will refund the sample cost, less a fifteen percent [15%] handling/restocking fee.

Do you provide pre-production decorated/logoed samples?
Yes, we bill samples at full single unit cost plus shipping costs. There are no returns on pre-production decorated/logoed samples.

PRODUCTION TIMING & PROOFS
Do you supply pre-production proofs?
Yes, we provide proofs for all formatted embroidery orders. Orders will not go into production until a signed and dated approval of the proof is received by us.

What is the production time on orders?
Production time for most embroidery or silk screen orders on stock merchandise is 2 to 3 weeks from approval of the proof.
Production time for embroidery or silk screen orders on custom-made merchandise is 5 to 8 weeks from approval of the proof.

Do you do rush orders?
Yes, we will do rush orders whenever possible. Contact us to discuss your needs.

DAMAGE CLAIMS/RETURNS
What is your policy for damaged goods and/or returns?
Please email a scan or photograph of the damage to help us determine the cause and how to deal with the issue.
Any request for return of product or other concerns must be registered in writing within thirty (30) days of delivery. Goods may not be returned to us without prior authorization, and must have an RA number with said return. Contact us for an RA number. Non-Authorized returns will not be accepted. They will be refused and returned at the shippers expense. There are no returns on pre-production decorated/logoed samples.
Please Note: The seller’s liability is limited to credit or replacement of any portion of delivered goods. The credit shall not exceed the amount charged for the goods.

What is your policy for goods damaged in transit?
You need to report and submit a claim directly to the carrier.

USE OF CLIENTS WEAR FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES
Do you use a client’s embroidered and silk screened ware for the purpose of promotion?
Yes, unless our clients ask us not to use the products we create for them on our web-site, or on other advertising mediums, we do use the products we create for our clients on our promotional sites.

ORDER CANCELLATION POLICY
What is the company Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations and/or changes to an order must be made within 24 hours of the time an order is placed. Changes to orders on pre-made merchandise may* incur a re-stocking fee(20%) if changed after that time. Custom made orders are cut and sewn especially for you. Once an order is in production, there can be no changes*. Additions will be accepted. Additions may require a special handling fee if produced separately. An email or fax is required for all cancellation or change orders.
*We will do our best to work with you. We endeavor to fill your needs. If we have not yet incurred any costs, we will not charge you. However, we will charge for any work that has been put into an order, reimbursing the difference.
